HOW TO POST A COMMENT ABOUT A FREE AND OPEN INTERNET WITH THE FCC? (3004 hits)

Join the millions of comments in response to #NetNeutrality Plan. What do you think about a FREE and OPEN Internet?

How will it affect your blogging, sharing information, your ministry, small business, etc.

What do you think about a FREE and OPEN Internet?

Here are 4 main points to remember:

1) Prevent Internet Service Providers (ISP) from BLOCKING legal online content!;

2) Make it illegal for ISPs to intentionally slow down or speed up content based on the
type of service;

3) Increase transparency to prevent ISPs from giving websites special treatment; and

4) Ban paid prioritization so websites are not stuck in the 'slow lane' if they do not
pay a fee.

So, this weekend be sure to Post your comment about ‪#NetNeutrality‬ directly on the FCC website. Participate in raising your voice because this is how change happens. Don't know how to express yourself? Well, you can read other comments and then post your own or the FCC allows you to copy a comment if you feel the same way, too.

The point is that those of us who agree with #NetNeutrality can encourage the FCC to implement this Plan.

Visit the FCC at: http://www.fcc.gov

Click TAKE ACTION on the upper right, then select "Comments"

Share this information with your friends, family, teachers, classmates, parents, cousins, and on your social media sites. There is strength in numbers and you're learning Advocacy, too!

While I am a proponent of net neutrality, we should not forget history. It was the breakup of AT&T in the early 80s that led to the Internet we have today. Which is to say, regulation should not stifle innovation.
